Erosion and Sedimentation Control
                                  Certification Courses

The Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Control Act (GESA) as last amended in 2004 requires all persons involved in land development, design, review, permitting, construction, monitoring, inspection, or any land disturbing activity in Georgia be state certified by a GSWCC approved training organization. In addition, certified individuals must complete the four-hour re-certification course every three years.

The Two Rivers RC&D Council is a GSWCC approved training organization and offers both certification and re-certification courses throughout West Central Georgia.

Depending upon your particular job, you must attend and successfully pass a formal exam for one or more of the courses.  However, there is no exam for the re-certification course. Participants who successfully complete the state required courses will be issued a color-coded ID card.  Below is the list of approved courses along with professions affected by the law.
